'Carrying the Currach'
The Men of Aran carry their currach along the shore line towards the sea. They are dressed in their traditional Aran sweaters, which are adorned with knotwork patterns. The knotwork patterns are believed to be symbols of sacred prayers to keep the fishermen safe at sea.
